ScareHouse Creative Director Scott Simmons has worked within the haunted attraction industry since 1985, when he first started volunteering at local Pittsburgh haunted house fundraisers for various organizations. Over the decades he has grown a modest Halloween hobby into an internationally recognized haunted attraction with nearly 150 employees.
ScareHouse is ranked as one of America’s best Haunted Houses by Travel Channel, writer/directors Michael Dougherty & Guillermo del Toro, and Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood and also featured on Good Morning America, Late Night with Seth Meyers, USA TODAY, and many other national media outlets. Scott Simmons also established a multi-year creative and marketing partnership with LEGENDARY, known for iconic blockbusters like The Dark Knight Trilogy, Jurassic World, and iconic supernatural thrillers such as Trick ‘r Treat, Krampus, and Guillermo del Toro’s gothic tale Crimson Peak.
